Homework Assignment 3 - Possible but improbable drawing

15 x 20 illustration board or good quality bristol board, min of 2 ply.
Create 10 1 minute thumbnails of possible but improbable situations.
From those 10, select your 2 favorite or 2 strongest ideas and create a 10 minute drawing for each one. black & white. This will be expanded upon and a finished 15 x 20" drawing will be executed.

10 - 1 minute thumbnail sketches.
2  -  10 minute more developed drawings based on your 2 favorite thumbnails.

Homework Assignment 2 - Essay

This should start as a 3 paragraph essay telling where you will be in 10 years. This can include geographical references but is ultimately about your professional life and your career in art.

1st paragraph - intro
2nd paragraph - body
3rd paragraph -conclusion

This is an exercise in goal setting, self realization, visualization and writing. This will be one of many. Due - Feb 19.

Homework Assignment 1 - Self Portrait

This assignment is to create a self portrait. A bust portrait in medium of our choice. You may work from a photo or mirror. This is to be a representational piece. Due Feb 12.

Please bring something to work on EVERY class meeting. You have too much to do and oh so little time. OK, maybe thats exaggerating....no its not!

I mentioned that keeping a sketchbook is a good thing as it shows your thought and creative process. I personally want to see sketchbooks as much as I want to see finished works.
